I'm just gonna throw some thoughts that I have out there and I was hoping that others players could either verify or discount my ideas.
One advanced dwarven archer (crossbowmen) has a 30 defense against swordsmen while its basic counterpart (slinger) has a 20 defense against the same opponent.
It takes the same amount of produced goods to train two slingers (1 bow, 1 leather each) as it does one crossbowmen (2 bow, 2 leather). There is a 1 g/h upkeep difference between the two though.
So two slingers have a better overall swordmen defense (40) as one bowmen (30). Its the same for all other attributes too.
My thinking is that, in this case, it would be better to have two slingers instead of one crossbowmen. Of course this thinking stems from the ?fact? that armies battle each other as "one complete unit". Meaning that all attack/defense totals, with modifiers, are added together then compared against each other to determine the outcome of the battle.
So.....Which is "better", two slingers or one crossbowmen?
If anyone has any thoughts on this (good or bad

) please share them. Thanks for reading!!
