         Few came to align the southern pathway into Karak Drax for the celebration of 
         Lord Duran's 123rd birthday and presentation of the 
         Helm of the Great Hall. Only 
         Lord Zolvon and his emissaries chose to attend, and for this, the Quendi awarded him the 
         Ring of Aithorn, and sing songs of honor and dedication to him throughout the Blessed Realm.
        
        
         

        
        
         For the rest of you who forsook the call to celebrate this momentous celebration, the Quendi lay a 
         curse upon all of you. This curse is named 
         Umbar Duranë -- Duran's Curse -- and it affects all of the alliances of Illyria. Every alliance's ranking in Illyria has fallen by -5 for 45 days from this point on.
        
        
         

        
        
         Moreover, 
         all of the NAPs and Confederations -- save our NAP with the Naugrim -- have been cancelled forthwith, and will need to be earned back.
        
        
         

        
        
         I have not consulted with the Naugrim on this matter and know not what their mood and disposition is after forsaking Duran's honor. I do know, however, that 
         the dwarves raged under the great halls of Karak Drax after the festivities were over at the lack of support of their kin. 
        
        
         

        
        
         The Quendi are a 
         forgiving race. The Naugrim, however -- loyal as they are to their friends -- are equally as fervent in their repudiation of disloyalty and disrespect -- especially when done with 
         impunity.
