I have already raised a petition about this issue (No. 6729) but am posting this here to see if others are suffering from the same problem, or if it is just my account that is effected for some reason.
2 armies that I have sent out to hunt npc's have succeeded in their job and headed home, only to complete their return journey and get stuck in the military movement as 'completed' they do not move from this status, nor do they appear in my barracks. I must say that I find this very frustrating but what can be done?
I have tried logging off, even disconnecting from the internet, but nothing helps. Is anyone else effected by this issue???

Same problem here, was just about to post it as well. From what I heard in GC, quite a few others suffer from the same problem.

Wonder if this means they have changed the coding for troop movement for some reason, only it has backfired?
Its annoying right now, but I like to think its a sign that something new maybe getting tested.

My troops also waiting at the gates. Thought it was because the cleaners were on strike and the cities were smelly. Glad to know my troops are not the only ones who have a cleanliness fetish.

There are five of my armies just outside the gates of their hometowns that don't find their ways in.

My army has been returned. I received this response to my petition:
This army should now have completed its inspection of the outside of your town and returned safely to their barracks.
I guess they added new functionality "city inspection."  I wonder if I still have that scorch mark from my rune blast ...

Mine have also returned but I am not privileged enough to receive a note about "city inspection".
