        Hallo,
         
        I've played illyriad for about six years, but this last has been off and on.
        I came to this game when I wasa freshman or so, I think I was heading into my sophomore year of high school, and I didn't really have a lot of friends. I was looking for something that day, and found it, somewhere where I could interact with people and for a moment not feel like a waste of space, people that I could stand, or even those I didnt like I could just avoid them. People that treated me like a person.  Illy allowed me to continue to interact with people on a positive level, and while the community today is a lot different than what it was six years ago, thank you for giving me that. I came close to killing myself in 2010 and it helped having a community I could vent to when there was no one else.
        I had a lot of issues over the years, and it took some time to grow out of most of them. I was immature, but I think we can agree that just comes with the age. Thankfully, beyond having a couple cities razed here and there, nothing was held against me. I started having a lot of fun once I began founding alliances, and while I had a difficult time hanging onto them it proved more fun to me on an administrator role than any warlord role that I could think of. I started having different goals with my alliances, this one will adopt a religion(there's a small cult worshiping delicious josh in the army btw) and become a cult, this will become a paranoid authoritarian state (TLR). 

Over time I introduced my friends to this game, and while some came and left as quickly, others stayed and helped me grow Han dynasty. Unfortunately, by this point I grew tired of the alliance game, and my friends helped as much as they could but ultimately lost interest themselves. Congrats to Ranalos for the mergers, im glad to see it happen. 
        I met great people here, Jejune, Bradley, Myr, Abstract (backstabbin' pig), Varvara, Josh and Botchface (who I had the opportunity to interact with beyond the game) and many more, Jtk, Grog/Shrapnel, the fantastic MODS Strategos and Celeres, and the dev team for having this game as a hobby, and the Mcrow family. 
        I don't have the time to play this anymore. Last year I wanted to join the Army, but I got medically discharged in training and now I'm investing what i can into a technical program. I just dont have time to play anymore, and I dont think I need this place to escape to as well. It helped when I was lonely, but I can take care of myself now.
        Goodbye for good this time.

	You were oft times an insufferable leader with a unique insight into the psyche of many of the sorts of people who play Illy. You could rarely finish anything you started but you were among the most intelligent people I've ever met in this game, regardless of physical age. You had a twisted vision of honor and seemed to approach most situations with an overriding sense of paranoia but when you had all your ducks in a row, none could match your natural born diplomatic talents. It was my honor to watch you grow over the year we were comrades and it was a damn shame to see what happened to you at the end of that year. I know you feel betrayed by my actions; I understand why you feel I stabbed you in the back but that was not my intention. There were real people on the other side of those keyboards (ajqtrz can attest to that) and for my part, I did not want to abandon the game so soon. The only way forward for all of us was to cut ties. My only regret is that I was unable to find a way to show that to you. I won't wish you luck, you won't need it. Whatever you eventually find your way into for life, you will succeed. I hope you can suppress whatever "demons" follow you around. They can mess it all up, or you can harness that energy and cut through the BS like a tornado. Have fun!

	You made my time in Illyriad better and more interesting. If you had stayed on some of the paths you laid out for yourself, I think BV had some valid points, it would have been even better :) Still, cool that you allowed yourself so many changes and tried different things. Hope we will stay in touch through other means of communication! Take care pal, you will be missed in-game!
