Universal Morality

In a world where magic lives it could have an impact that is based upon hte nature of a player's actions

Thus in true Fantastic style (according to an undisclosed system/table) those that commit evil actions might come to look evil - and that might offer such players a totally new race option = evil dwemer,  corrupted elves and debased humans etc - decide the naming convention

Conversely those that act in a 'good' or virtuous way might look good and blessed race options might open up for them according to their race

This would take a lot of work to implement but it would add a totally new dimension to play and is very diferent from the run of the mill generic games where you follow a set path to get points and there is no mystery

The idea is to add a certain mystery ... encouraging players to experiment.  If a player is not happy with the changes or options that he has arrived at then he can change the balance of his character by his own choices in the way that he behaves towards other players

I think there are to many factors for the moral compass to work here, like for instance if you attack an inactive player who is considerably smaller than you may be looked upon as a "bad" deed when in fact that player isnt active at all- so it should be no harm no foul. Then say a player is being bullied and you come to their aid- defending the helpless- as my alliance calls it. This could be looked at as an act of virtue - but how is the computer suppose to "justify" what constitutes a bully. Seems to me there are too many underlying factors here. And as far as Mysteries go- we still have at least 2 that are unsolved if not more, theres more to illy than just get to point A now go to point B. Dont get me wrong I like the idea but there are to many underlying factors in my opinion

This idea was rejected long ago, because it delves way too far into subjective matters best left in human hands rather than reduced to simple game mechanics--much like The Duke describes.
