A brand new alliance led by myself (I know again ) called the Coalition is up and running and is seeking new members!
With the BL expansion currently been developed change is coming for all in Illyriad. With this in mind I believe that the time is right to be out with the old and in with the new as they say. I offer those who want the chance to face a new challenge to join as we move towards the BL together and we build for a better future for all.
This alliance will strive to protect the intergrity and equality that Illyriad has stood for since it's foundation.
We will attempt to be the force of reason in all conflicts, we value negoiation over agressive force in settling disputes.
But make no mistake we will use force if we see fit.
I would also like to thank my old Alliance Valar for everything they have done for me during my time there, It won't be forgotten.

Yeah, that is not confusing at all, John Marston. Perhapsit is even a little antagonistic given you were in Consone fight the Coalition during the war.
I wonder, are you looking to provoke the Coalition?

No offense was intended in the name of the alliance. But I see that this will no doubt become highly controversial and since I doubt have the energy to deal with it I announce that I am leaving this game forever.
To everyone I have met and gotten to know it was a pleasure , to everyone else I wish you well. I leave with one last warning.... if people don't start to take the personnel out of this GAME (yes it is a GAME) then it will descend to level of any other browser game where there is nothing more that simple destruction other peoples towns and cities and trash talking.
This would be a shame as I always felt that Illyriad was different but I feel it is time for me to leave before I see her tarnished and her reputation destroyed.

Is it minutely possible that you never wanted to start a new alliance at all, but are merely trying to score some cheap points?
Not saying that those are your motivations, but the fact that it took you all of 27 minutes to go from "I'm starting a new alliance" to "I'm quitting" does strike me as sort of suspect...

Never my intention to score "cheap points" to be honest I did not think it would be a problem, but when it was commented that it looked like that I was trying to I realized that it was. I honestly have become fed up with the constant bickering of late. I hope you can understand where I am coming from.
This passive aggression dose that I have been accused of is far, far from the truth.

and really anyone who could not see the problem with naming a alliance the same as their previous enemies, i think we are better off..
