Currently you can queue up two buildings no matter how long they take to build. When building new towns though, a lot of buildings have very short build times, so you have to remember to constantly check back and add buildings to the queue.

As a full time student I don’t necessarily have the time to always check in and add things to the queue, I’m often too busy with other things, and while I like the game, it puts me at a sever disadvantage relative to other players when it comes time to build newer towns, because I can often forget to add something every now and then.

As an alternative to fixed build slots however, we could keep the current “2” limit, but I propose allowing us to use both of them to queue up a certain amount of *time* for very small builds that take less than 6 hours (after factoring in the Architect’s Office reduction in time), so say, allow us to take one build slot and queue up either 6 or 12 hours worth of builds that go one after another, adding the amount of time it takes to build each building until we reach the limit of either 6 or 12 hours.

If it were 6 hours, we could use both queue slots to queue up to 12 hours of building, which would be entirely reasonable as we would only have to check once every half a day to add new buildings to that town, and growth could come at a much faster pace. 12 hours would allow us to check in only once every 24 hours.

A build that takes 6 hours or longer would of course take the entire queue slot as under the current system.

This isn’t as much of a problem personally, but if implemented, it could work just as well for the Research queue.

Thank you for all the hard work you put into the game already! :-)

It sounds like a reasonable idea to me.

Hi Lisa, I remember that GMs told they would hange that indeed. if i remember well they said: Queue up to 2 building or queue up to 2 days building time.

But i dont know if that is still on the dev list.

Edit: about using prestige to speed up research, that's unlikely to come.

Really? I had just thought of it last night and thought it was fairly original, but if they’re already ahead of me, then that’s even better! :-)

I didn’t really suggest prestige on research though, heh, not sure where that came from. Lack of prestige for research is a major part of the game’s balance, so I wouldn’t ask for that.
