Ok, I just scouted a legion of rats at 6850. I scouted them an hour later and those damn rats had multiplied about 80% to a myriad with numbers over 12k.  Wacko

Has anyone else noticed growth this fast and do we have any info into how they grow yet? It also doesn't line up with the old NPC spawning times so I wonder what decides when they swell in ranks. This is gonna affect the size of the armies I deploy as I was already locked on to them when I scouted.

I land in 1h, good luck me!

Yes, sometimes critters grow at astonishing rates, particularly rats and bugs.  Other animals multiply much more slowly.  There's a white tiger group near me that has been "several" for about three days.  (If they breed that slowly in the real world, no wonder they're almost extinct.)

We are also tracking to see when the groups split up and whether that varies by creature type.  I assume it probably does.

I know I have attacked a host before, and right after the attack kills them all off there is still a host at the very same location - so I attack again and wipe out the second host only to have yet another host in the very same location...  very strange indeed.

I also wonder if specific creatures have specific re-spawn rates.  E.G. rats would be able to multiply themselves 10x (if not more) faster than mammoths...  is the re-spawn all the same or do some spawn faster while others spawn slower?

hummmm....

Well I consider you all extremely lucky. The NPCs around me haven't really even gotten past a pack.
