Ive been playing for a few months now and i have used all my plots and about maxed out my resources in my capital city. Ive seen other players say they have 3 or more cities for resources and i am wondering how this is accomplished?

1) I am already dmolishing and rebuilding my resource buildings to give me a little extra boost

2) I only have 2 soverign squares but at their current level it will not let me build reource plots

3) My biggest question is, does a second city come from destroying another city ( Which i am trying to be peacful and not take someone's work) or do i have to open another account and trade between the 2 accts.?

Build settlers (in your castle) and found a new town.

You build a settler in your castle.  Under settler tab.

Then send to a sq to settle a new city on there (not sure what the req as far as dist from other cities)

It has nothing to do with sov so no need to worry about that.

you shoudl be careful of where you put ur new city :) What you heard about ressources and mos especially food is probably to get the 2 last city the ninth and tenth. new cities depends on your population. not enough population = no more cities. And since population eat food well....
Otherwise enjoy having ur next city and all the others that will follow :)

Just in case, sov claims will never allow you to get more city buildings.  You can only build sov structures (max. 20 depending on research) for either a production time bonus (cattle, diplos, troops, etc.) or a basic resource bonus.

At claim level 5 you can build a level 5 structure, and in the case of a resource bonus you get what's shown on the map for the square, e.g., a 7 food square with a claim level 5 plus farmstead level 5 gives you a 7% food bonus.

The production time bonus is almost always 5% per level, or up to 8% per level for one special sov bonus, e.g., cattle +3% yields 2*(5+3)=2*8=16% at level 2 for a cow production time bonus.  Water sov is limited to fishing (food), and some squares can't be claimed at all.
