It's very sad for her family to have lost her so near the holidays as well.

I liked durc -- I got a kick out of the her persistence in role-playing the character, what with the broken English and "dim orc" routine. I sometimes wish there was more role-playing like that, and durc was committed to it.

I don't how she died -- if she was sick -- but after losing Amroth not too long ago, one cannot notice that a fair number of active players in this game are sick. Some terminally. It's a good game for the infirm, since it is engaging, immersive, and lets bed-ridden folks make connections with other people in a fun atmosphere. It certainly beats watching bad television all day.

God bless you durc, and your family.

I am sad and very tearful at the loss of a funny gal in GC, her roleplay fooled me.
I have no other words but to the family, thank you for sharing her with us. I will say a prayer for your comfort in this time of loss.

Meet you at the Gate Durc,

A beautiful garden now stands alone,
missing the one who nurtured it
But now she is gone,
Her flowers still bloom, and the sun it still shines,
But the rain is like tear drops, for the ones left behind,
The weeds lay waiting to take the gardens beauty away,
But the beautiful memories of its keeper are in our hearts to stay,
she loved every flower even some that were weeds,
So much love she would plant with each little seed,
But just like her flowers she was part of Gods plan,
So when it was her time he reached down his hand,
He look through the Garden searching for the best,
That's when he found Durc, it was her time to rest,
It was hard for those who loved her, to just let her go,
But God had a spot in his garden, that needed a gentle soul,
So when you start missing Durc, remember if you just wait,
When God has a spot in his garden, She'll meet you at the gate....

Rest in Peace

The world is a darker place without you, Pug & Durc.  I hope you are at peace now and that you know that we will all miss you.  When I think of your pugtank, I smile through my tears.  Somehow, I think you would like that.  Until we meet again, rest well.

Goodbye, Durc. Rest in peace.

We loved you and I always enjoyed chatting with you.

I know you are enjoying yourself, now, teaching Orcish in a place where they probably aren't too familiar with it!

RIP mate.
