Thanks for your response.

The one thing you never tell us every Friday that this happens is whether this is a bug or deliberate feature to move the herbs around.

This incident went on much longer than usual (at least 12 hours by my reckoning – they usually last for only 1 hour).

If it were purposeful it would be pretty darn cruel... people build towns in certain places just for the herbs or grapes... you may as well have towns randomly catch on fire. >.<

None of the herbs I lost respawned at the spot they were before this major glitch, and what is to stop it from happening again and again?
