I have asked and checked the
Forum. I have come to believe, on these as well as my own first hand experience, that a gamer can see diplos coming
IN, but not going
back to its city after the attack. I am told that any other gamer can follow the diplo home, but the gamer attacked cannot. This has been confirmed twice by myself.
What does that mean to you?

I don't really care who started this, but seeing as John Louis's population is larger than Darken's shouldn't John be able to handle it himself? There's no need to have an entire alliance help eliminate a threat that is small, just my opinion though, as i believe in a one on one fight, as long as the sides are even.

Yes, that is true, a player would have to have two accounts and use that 2nd account to track it back.

To me? It means something isn't quite as it should be...
Any standard ingame procedure that *requires* a second account/third-party to fulfil (with the intentional and notable exceptions, such as the "Gift Of..." spellset) is probably incorrect.
Will put on the to-fix list.

So are you saying that you will allow one account players the option to track a diplomat back? Or are you saying that there will be no way any player can track a diplomat back from any account (another alliance etc)?

Gosh.
I hadn't thought of Option B (the latter). I was going with Option A (the former) in my head.
But now that you mention it... to the researchmobile, Illybatpeople!

Also, can we let this thread return to it's original purpose? Apologies for the derail.

This is my personal opinion and in no way reflects the attitude of my alliance:
GOONs (and those who pretend to be GOONs) are an infection. They form clumps selfish self-righteous narcississtic manipulative meta-gamers in almost every single MMOG I've ever played.
They join games en-masse have no interest in supporting the development or community of any game they. Their sole-pleasure derides from manipulating others and causing rifts within communities and between developers and their gamers. Generally giving GOONs any kind of attention gives them inexplicable pleasure, which is why I'm partially loathe to write this post.
If you are a non-GOON that starts next to a patch of GOONs you will find your gaming experience considerably more enjoyable had the GOONs not been there.
So my only advice to you, darken rahl, is to relocate. Fighting against a much stronger opponent gets pretty frustrating when you want to experience more of the game than being a pinata. Making a thread and ranting (predictably for the eloquent trolls that are GOON) will only motive them into action.
And to you GOONies who read this: No doubt you will all deny this post very strongly and verbosely. But if any of you lot genuinely believe that you are not the players I have just described, you're gonna have to work hard to prove it, cos you already got a reputation and what I've seen in this post so far supports it.

See what I mean!?
Actually In all sincerity: I am glad you are enjoying this.
Bitter sea by it's very nature has to be a place full of strong opinions and tears of frustration, it wouldn't really be 'Bitter Sea' otherwise.

Createure: I agree with you actually. this is a GREAT place to vent and I encourage players to do so. But what MOST don't get is this is a GAME. Anyone who takes it too seriously and can't laugh at things is well, probably going to have a heart-attack in a few years. Games are meant to be fun..Why play if its not? :)
