Geomancy Spell Range

How do I know (except trial and error) the max range for each spell?  Is the screen as messed up as it appears or does it somehow make sense?  The "Spell Power" numbers seem to make equally little sense but I have a very fuzzy grasp of that aspect and haven't reached a limitation in that area yet.

If you look down the left-hand side of the screen, there is a base range for the spell and a series of modifiers. If you look at the Total Default Range number, that is the range of the spell. That said, with the geomancy spells they don't seem to be correct as the Nature's X series of spells have a range of approximately 100 squares while the Gift of spells have a much higher range than that. The blight distances displayed are accurate from what I remember the few times I used them.

Thank you, that post is a lot more informative than the spells page in the game.  The devs might just want to copy that information into the spells page until they have time to release the new magic stuff.
