It was quite fun to look at the openGL preview of BL when it was released, and extract info from the textures :o)
Of course, it won't be indicative of the final offering... (which is why it's OK to mention this).

I also tried to manipulate the view (offline) and add shaders for lighting to give a nice volumetric scattering sunset picture of BL from the mountaintops, but the tesselation/shaders don't work close-up (they're perfect for the top-down view though). I stopped short of exporting it into a decent ray tracer. Maybe someone else could...
