What we really need is a concerted effort by the community to locate and list all locations in Illyriad.  Maybe a Google spreadsheet listing location, type, and name of every non-changeable location in game.  Would be interesting to see numbers on different types of names.  For instance, if there are hundreds of Caves but only 5-10 Ancient Lairs there must be a reason why.

I've seen quite a few Ancient Lairs. I think they're like abandoned mineshaft or barrow tiles. If you had too many, it would look awkward. I did scout and spy the one by Glinntre with no effect.

There is a way to pull this data from the game using their API/data interface.

heres the last few lines
Your followers regret that they did not return with any treasure or insight. The ruins of Duraz Karag are so vast, they say, that it must contain some secrets, but they had no clue where they might even start such a search.

i think the rest is a red hairen. the city i think is the key but u need to send the right number of diplomants and the right kind.

Has anybody seen these features on the map: dragon monument, clock tower, ancient claws, mystic tombs, mausoleum, cairn, hidden temple or dark temples?
I doubt if any of these have to do with Dwarven Champions but i'm running out of ideas.

There are the three named Ancient Temples by the Heart of Corruption. Some of the features of the Rift might be described as claws or dragon/devil monuments. The City of Temples from the Brotherhood of Kerala might be considered Dark Temples (as they are dark elf temples), although the term Dark Temple sounds familiar.

Did you discover an epic clue, or is this stuff from the faction descriptions? I don't remember a clock tower...

Those features are listed on the XML datafile_terrain provided by Illy.

I should add, there are lots of mausoleums in the eastern deserts around Djeibi, Elijal and Kul Tar.

Maybe investigating the mountain caves in the area will lead to something?

According to this, Clan Bealagh is waiting for a Dwarven army to reunite them and kill all the greenskins.  Has anyone sent a purely Dwarven army - axemen/stalwarts, complete with battle axes, battle mules, Upland armor (or whatever) -  to the site?
