Good thinking. I've looked over the map and have not located any other dwarven fortresses besides DK, so I am not forsure what else there is that we could interact with.

How about a relevant land feature in a specific dirrection i.e. a wheat field that is east of DK (or which ever dirrection is gives praise to for wheat.

I really don't know if DK has anything to do with unlocking the Dwarven Champion Armor.

My recollection is that DK was released a while before Tv2 was and that Manannan and I did some collaboration trying to crack the cryptic montage.  At that time there were only a few faction cities that you could send diplomats to - something like 8 in total.

There was at least one such city in the cardinal compass directions: North, South, East, West.

The only one I can recall from memory is the west faction city:   Jarru
All manner of diplomats, caravan laden with goods (at that time only basics resources/weapons, etc no materials/crafted items) were sent to no affect.  I even attempted to claim sovereign on the square because you could park an army on top of the faction hub.

Also, I have timed advanced spies(125 each group) to hit all 5 squares of DK simultaneously (+/- 15 seconds) of one another.

~hopefully this will help others move forward with there attempts to solve both mysteries(or one if they are indeed connected)

Your followers regret that they did not return with any treasure or insight. The ruins of Duraz Karag are so vast, they say, that it must contain some secrets, but they had no clue where they might even start such a search.

D.K. contains some mystery. You are right that it may not be related to the Dwarven Champion's Armor.

GMs have confirmed Dwarven Champion's Armor is in game and can be found. The closest clue we have about Dwarvin Champion armor is the abandoned Dwarven Fortress of old.

We have ruled out the Champion Armor being learned through research, like the battle axe. As players have finished researching EVERYTHING and have not yet learned the recipe.

Maybe someone who has researched all armor could try creating 1 of each armor. would make sense... after making every type of armor in-game you then discover a new type of armor.

This has been attempted with the elven spirit bow to no avail.  As of right now, I am fairly convinced it has something to do with a map location.  Since all the racial gear is tied together, maybe if we crack one we can crack them all.

Could this mystery be like The Heroic Human Statue, in that after you send diplos to Duraz Karag you have to send them to certain squares in each direction?

interesting theory. Your suggesting that once you hit D.K. there is a secondary place you must hit with diplos...

Any thoughts on where that secondary location would be?

Here is The Truecrafter quest: Maybe has a clue?

Thoromar Runetouch is a Truecrafter: both a priest and craftsman, his meditations are in his work, his prayers eternal in the stonework that he produces. He wanders Illyria seeking the most gifted stoneworkers (all Dwarves, of course), and mentors them for a few days, or weeks or years.

His objectives are to pass on the ancient stoneworking secrets of the Artefores (the Dwarf gods whom The Maker set to craft the world), and to seek craftsmen who have the skill and focus to follow in his own footsteps, becoming Truecrafters in turn. Many Dwarves regard this work, honouring the Maker and serving the Dwarf community at the same time, as the most valuable that any Dwarf can aspire to.

Thoromad is known to be working nearby, working with an aspiring stonemason on a deliberately tricky vein of rock. In view of his fine and holy work, some of the locals have suggested that someone should send supplies out to him, food to support him and his colleague, so that they can focus on their work without worrying about having to feed themselves. When your people say "someone", they really mean their leader - you.

Accepting this quest will require you to ship: 60 [@c=25] food

Has anyone ever checked out the images available for purchase on cafepress? There are eight discoveries listed that I've never heard anyone actually using. Four look very specific to each race--Amassing the Horde (orc), Exploiting Idealism (human), Tree of Life (elf) and Dwarven Fortifications (dwarf).

I'd bet 1000 Alte Brandtburg wheat beers that the Dwarven Fortifications discovery has something to do with Duraz Karag.
