is there a way to disassociate my account from facebook? I initially logged in with facebook and now, due to previously mentioned problems with facebook (facebook issues thread) however i regularly get logged out or have trouble logging in. it would just be much easier to use a regular username / password (which i've already set).

I went to Accounts & Preferences on my profile and 'changed password'. I don't remember where I got the information from to do that though. Likely someone asked in GC. 
But I can now sign on without facebook.

yeap, i've already set the password in my profile. the only problem now is the game seems tries keep attempting to authenticate with facebook so it will on occassion and on refresh log me out and bring me to Illy's facebook page.

Log out of Facebook before logging into game?

Or in Facebook goto Account->Privacy->App and Websites-> Edit settings->Apps you use->Edit settings

Then click the little cross next to Illyriad.

In the popup that appears asking if you want to remove it; if it asks you to rate it choose 5 stars Wink
...but then you have to give a reason like "Its wonderful, but the temptation to play it is too high" Cry

Now you should be good...

ah.. i had high hopes for your suggestion of revoking access in facebook settings.. it didn't work though. Even removing the app from privacy settings does not work. On any refresh of the page it still tries to re-authenticate via facebook. If it helps the GM's reproducing the problem i'm using Opera  11.51.

Deactivates Meagh's facebook link and makes note to add something better to the Account and Preferences page...
