 Topic: Commanders earning experience

I've been using my army to attack inactive players for their resources, I've been getting messages that I have been winning the battles but yet my commander still hasn't gained a single experience point. I'm even using raids but still no experience even though the messages say I've been successful.
Is the only way to level up my commander through fighting another force?

The leader of an alliance intent on, and I quote "
Knights who say Ni aim to be the best alliance in this game, that doesn't mean the biggest but that does mean the strongest and smartest (this is a strategy game after all) " attacking new and defenceless players? using them as farms by way of his superiour forces?
Aren't we the budding little tyrant.
Set on world domination by *any* means possible are we?

these people joined the sametime I joined and I have messaged them many times and they never got back to me which made me think that they are inactive so I thought that there is no point of their resources going to waste so why not use them for a good course
and username have you been sending diplomatic units to me?

So because they aren't willing to yield to your demmands they're worthless? or because they aren't as active as you, they don't matter?
And what is this good cause you speak of, the domination of Illyriad via your vicious employment of "strategy" no doubt!

lol my men haven't even killed a single person, the only thing they have done is just take resources. I have no blood on my hands thank you very much.
