i will just say im sorry now, i know i said some urban dictionary words that bypass it before
Im sorry, we want a family friendly atmosphere in which to; send our armies and kill various animals, wage war, kill undead, try to stop a beating heart and claim land
We want a clean environment, so our diplo's may easily find the loot they search for and for the wives that desperate, lonely and possibly suicidal farmer needs
keep it clean peeps
for real, be thankful for the GM's they keep spammers and other at bay

I am good with the rules. They don't bother me. I know we have rebels out there that like to cause problems and be hateful. The block feature is a god send. I use it a lot and have people that will never be taken off of it for previous actions of this nature. I don't put up with other people's drama anymore in GC. It isn't worth my time. I have a much lower tolerance for GC than I used to thanks to past run ins. It was ruined a long time ago and has gotten worse because the antagonistic nature of some that is now directed at other people on a whim. It isn't all the time, but enough to make me leery of venturing in most days.
Jane, I want to publicly say that what was said to you was way out of line. Do NOT put up with jerks like that in the future. Screen shot the offensive chat, place on a share site, put in a petition and turn them in. I learned the hard way a long time ago that you have to stand up for yourself. You turn it into the Devs they will hand out proper punishment if they see it is of a grievous nature. I have seen them in action 1st hand. They have no tolerance for that sort of thing. I thank them for that.

Just a quick note: if someone is offensive in GC, a screenshot should be neither necessary nor useful. Falsifying damning evidence of that nature is trivially easy, and the the GMs cannot trust evidence that could have been fabricated by an enemy to that player as a meta-attack. On the other hand, the GMs have chat logs anyway, and can verify without question any allegations.
What you
should provide is the exact name of the culprit, the date and time of the incident(s), and a directly quoted excerpt. That would be sufficient to enable them to easily and efficiently find it in their logs.

I was asked in the past if I had a screen shot so that is why I do it. They can go thru their chat logs and verify it is not falsified. Besides falsifying stuff like that can backfire hardcore and cause more problems for you.

Actually, perhaps it would have been best if this thread had not been opened. I really don't understand the need for it to have been placed in a public thread. An effective forum moderator lays the down the rules of conduct at the beginning of the game and then implements them dealing with each case on it s own merits, in a fair and resonable way, and carries on ensuring that the standards of dev/management team are maintained without any fuss.
There is no need to open a thread using "robust" terms at this stage of the game. It simply creates an issue where one is not needed. I think it should be closed. I would rather spend my time enjoying the game.

I think a number of people appreciated the clarification. I didn't need it, but it might be helpful for those who like to test limits to have them be even more abundantly clear. Hopefully will save GM Luna some time spent arguing over chat bans. Which means she can plan more fun stuff!
