Boredom and the Sandbox

I started writing a long post for this, but then I changed my mind. Here's the short version.

I don't understand why people complain about the lack of things to do in Illyriad. This is a sandbox. If you are bored, DO SOMETHING. Create and run a tournament. Join a tournament that somebody else is running. Make something interesting happen.

What are some interesting ideas that players could implement in the sandbox to create cool activities? What could we do as players to shape our own games?

In other words, "WAR!WAR!WAR!WAR!WAR!"

I just mean in general, if you get bored, just remember, THIS IS A GAME!!! Do something about it, you literally have the power to do almost whatever you want.

Sgt. Siek: Now to the rest of you, do you have what it takes to be the meanest, the cruelest, the most sadist unforgiving mother fs in God's cruel kingdom?

All Marines: Yes, Staff Sergeant.

Sgt. Siek: Will you be able to one day say, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for I am the baddest mother f in the God damn valley?"

All Marines: Yes, Staff Sergeant.

Sgt. Siek: We shall f***ng see.

This is sandbox - be the meanest, the cruelest, and the sadist unforgiving.. :D
