Hey all,

Here are a couple of suggestions involving warring (including diplomatic warring) :)

  1. Time estimates for battles / camping
    a) In order to properly attack with friends against a target, we need a good way of estimating how long it would take (or at least knowing what time an army would hit). For instance, if I were to target Player X's city. I should get a summary for each of my armies (as they would be different speeds) of what time they would hit BEFORE I launched them. Then I could inform my alliance members what time I would hit and they would send their out accordingly so that they would hit same time or purposely hit before or after, depending on how we wanted to do it. You would also need a "camp" ability to do that (see point b)
    b) Camping - this would allow you to target your army to hit a particular location but add "camp" time to delay it. So, if I needed to send my army to hit in 4 hours but it would take my army 3 hours to get there, I could put an hour of camp time in so it would hit in 4 hours. Camp time should be measured down to the second (4hours, 23min, 2 seconds). :) 

  2.  New Skill - Follow the birdie (or whatever). When someone attempts to send diplo at you (spy, scouts, etc), if their units return, you have to follow the bird back home (which could take hours). Im suggesting a HIGH level skill (like require Consolate 20 AND Mage 20) that would have a certain new diplomacy person be able to follow the bird back home and report back who it was (almost like capturing but your bird would follow them home so you would get a report of who it was). It would have to be a fast diplo (and get attached to the returning "bird" so even if the person used Prestige to bring back their spies, etcc faster, it would stay with them. You could make it like the messanger that it dies after the sprint and relaying the info.

I really like the camping idea for all units.  Units should be able to go slower than their normal speed.
