I really hate to sound like a spoilsport but those squares are unfair. Kurdruk and Duke are surrounded by plains, most other people have one or two hills nearby and me and Norman are virtually surrounded by hills.

If you want to do this, at least make the squares fair.

Apart from that- GAME ON.

PS: the participants need to disable their diplomatic relations between each other.

2 thoughts:

1) Noki - I'm not sure it's that unfair. I looked at that and thought "OK, so if a move a cavalry specialist city down there, I should be able to keep the squares clear of sieges... but my troops will be completely wrong for purposes of besieging anyone else - which is required to win..." If a whole alliance is involved then being surrounded by plains is a massive boon to alliance-mates who are trying to defend you... but in this case...? I'm not so sure.

2) 7 people? Seriously?! All the whining on the forum about how Illyriad is too peaceful and wars would be fun blah blah blah, and only 7 people are up for this!
a) Does anyone want clearer proof that Illyriad's players don't want wars?
b) Maybe it would be worth postponing this a couple of weeks to try to rustle up more players? (I mean, a 1/7 chance of surviving sounds better than 1/20... but 1/20 sounds more like a Battle Royale!)

By the time winter rolls around I suspect this will just be finishing.  Hopefully by then it will grab the acclaim of an audience and will the precursor for the Winter Battle Royale in the arctic?
...and miles to go before I sleep.

I think there should be a special prize for Binkyboy if he wins. Seriously, 4k pop and he's already up for this! I salute his courage!

I have been trying to get Exodus in a city I would have liked to have competed with. Unfortunately it is still 3 days build time then 5 to research exodus... Then add in travel time I cannot make it. Unless i could join midway through?
