from a bystander point of view... i imagine Troves had as much to do with this war as actual Roses did with Wars of the Roses... less so more likely.
@geofry excellent well-written report ty! - M

And, yes, Geofry. Very well done! Sorry to fail to compliment. I wish all Forum posts were as well done as that!

A very apt analogy.
If I only have 200 spears to stand up to you, that is what I will use. If you burn all my cities to the ground, I will continue to fight on.
So in a way, it is like saying "I'll bite your legs off!"

Those that label this conflict at a "trove" war, completely miss the point.

Of course that this mineral wasn't reason for the war, but I liked that name better than some suggested names as "World war, Great war 1,2 etc". Trove was initial spark, and it's deep green as greed.

:/ this is truly a world war tho, as the number of alliances on both sides show.

And this was is the first - World war.
But that is me.

I think the H?/White war was a global conflict that eventually became
White/Black/MK vs. H?/Ni/Dlord/Goon/Curse/and a few others for a total of 8 alliances, iirc. At that time, excluding Crows, this represented a significant portion of Illy at war.
Illy has had The White War, The TMM War, Champ/?? (what was the name of that Orc alliance?) War, The VALAR War, and now The Consone War. There have been many smaller wars.

You are thinking of DB- although they were not an Orc only alliance.
